Holly Finch

Jazz, Contemporary & Tech

At the centre of Holly’s love of dance is her passion for music and storytelling. From a young age Holly trained in ballet, jazz and contemporary styles. In 2014 Holly completed her full-time training at ‘Ettingshausens Pro’ in Sydney. She was then awarded a scholarship to study at Broadway Dance Centre in New York City. These programmes introduced her to hip hop and commercial styles, developing her into a versatile and well-rounded performer.

 A career highlight for Holly was dancing in Jillian Myers’ show ‘Questions and Answers’ in Tokyo, Japan. Since freelancing in Auckland she has worked extensively with Momentum Productions under directors Kayla Paige and Andrew Cesan. Other credits include Dancing with the Stars NZ, Pacific Music Awards with artist RAZÉ, and Celebrity X Cruises. She has also been involved with contemporary dance developments for ‘One Dance Collective’ (Sydney) and ‘Dance Plant Collective’ (Auckland). 

 Holly’s love for creating has led her to many choreographic opportunities. Last year she choreographed and performed an installation for ‘Tempo Dance Festival’ and this year was a choreographer for their digital season ‘Ka Awatea’.

 Holly has been teaching since she left high school, and is passionate about fostering a love of dance in young people. She enjoys helping them build their skills and technique, but most of all encouraging them to find their own expression and artistry.
