Gema Whitford-Joynt

Gema Whitford-Joynt is one of our newest faculty members, joining the studio as a teacher for 2022. Gema is one of Red's foundation members and has been building the brand of one of Red's top crews 'Rebellious' for five years. She is considered a world-class competitor having competed internationally in Australia, America, and Europe. Bringing home a Bronze medal from the HHI worlds competition in 2021 is one of Gema's largest achievements to date. While Hip Hop has been a strong part of Gema's dance journey, she values versatility and currently trains with Red's pre-professional group Perspective who specialize in Jazz, Contemporary, and Commercial styles. Gema also competes with Red's troupes RSVP, and Releve where she trains both her Contemporary and Jazz skills. Gema is looking forward to passing her knowledge onto younger dancers and will be teaching Junior Contemporary and assisting in our younger Hip Hop and Jazz classes.
